Welcome to Credo
late 12c., from Latin, lit. “I believe,” first person singular present indicative of credere “to believe,” perhaps from PIE compound *kerd-dhe- “to believe,” lit. “to put one’s heart” (cf. O.Ir. cretim, Ir. creidim, Welsh credu “I believe,” Skt. srad-dha- “faith”).
We believe that good food and good company go hand in hand. We believe in the time-honored tradition of the dinner table debate and the swirling mix of ideas that makes this country great. We believe simple things can be brilliant, like authentic, responsibly- sourced ingredients, attention to detail and gracious hospitality.
